Angola: ASA Beat Santos FC, Rise to Fourth Position

Luanda — Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) rose to the fourth position of the National Championship of Football with 16 points, after defeating Santos FC 2-1 in Luanda's Coqueiros sports stadium, as part of the 11th round of the first division competition.

ASA's goals were scored by Massinga at the 26th minute and Gil (80th), whereas Mwanza did for Santos FC during extra-time.

Despite today's defeat, Santos FC remain third on the general standing of the competition with 21 points, five points below leading Petro de Luanda. Benfica do Lubango come last in the championship with seven points.

In another match of the 11th round played Monday, Sagrada Esperança da Luanda Norte drew with Benfica de Luanda (0-0).

The round will be complete on May 24 with the game between last season winner, Interclube, and Desportivo do Libolo. This match had been postponed as the former was busy with the African Cups.

Petro de Luanda - 1º de Agosto 0-2

FC Bravos do Maquis - Desportivo da Huíla 1-0

Sagrada Esperança - Benfica de Luanda 0-0

ASA - Santos FC 2-1

Petro do Huambo - Kabuscorp do Palanca 3-1

1º de Maio - Benfica do Lubango 1-1

Desportivo do Libolo - Interclube (May 24)
