Dean of Students Affairs, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Dr. Eddy Eragbe has warned the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) against any act capable of derailing it from its constitutional objectives.
"Leaders are supposed to provide the ideas, method on how to harness all human resources to achieve its targets. You must identify your aims and objectives in whatever you are doing. In a decent society, we have a guided constitution so also in NANS. All the time you must agree on what to do"
Eragbe gave this advised at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral centre, Benin, when the leadership of the students association; NANS awarded the Chief Executive Officer of Abuma Communication Ltd, Mr. Oghenekewe Mishack Abuma as its Grand Patron.
Dr. Eragbe said "There is the need for somebody to lead and to guide because there is a target to be reached and someone must help to direct the way to the destination. And this leader ought to provide the ideas, method and harness all human resources to achieve its target."
He said leaders emerge by appointment, election and heredity and that there are minimum expectations from them just as he added that leaders must be focused without distraction. In his words, "don't digress too much from your studies and if you do, it will be very difficult to retrace yourself.
"You must be resourceful because, sometimes the problem we have is that we only know one method of doing things."

Trust worthiness and ability to build confidence in the people depend on the individual leader," he said.
