Central Africa: Luanda Hosts UN Central Africa Security Committee Meeting

Luanda — Angolan capital city, Luanda, is hosting Tuesday the 27th meeting of the United Nations standing consultative committee on security in Central Africa, Angop learned.

A press note from Angolan Foreign ministry states that the meeting will go until May 15.

The source adds that the meeting comes in response to recommendations from the UN Security Council and the General Assembly, on security matters.

The meeting aims at reviewing the situation in member states and the implementation of programmes of interest to the region.

The meeting will analyse the programme of fight against small weapons trafficking and the Sao Tome Initiative.
