Angola: Transport Minister Visits Luanda's Airport Today

The Angolan Transport minister, Augusto Tomás da Silva visits this Tuesday the structures of the Luanda Airport, to learn of its functioning, the works being carried out, as well as the projects in progress turned to the improvement of services for clients.
In the morning period, the official is to visit various areas of the airport, among them, the meteorology services, airport operations, the protocol hall, departure and arrival lounges, police areas, regional control centre (CCR), among other institutions which are part of the airport system.
According to the programme of visit that has reached ANGOP, before the end of the mission round about 05:00 pm, the minister will meet the board of ENANA (the public firm that manages the airport and controls air traffic), directors, heads of departments, representatives of trade-unions local bureaus and professional associations of the airport system.
Augusto Tomás da Silva, an economist and former MP, was appointed to this post, President José Eduardo dos Santos, on 11 April 2008, to replace André Luís Brandão.

Augusto Tomás da Silva has already been Finance minister and provincial governor of Cabinda.
