Angola: Malanje - Media Minister Guarantees Working Conditions

Malanje — Angola's Mass Media minister, Manuel Rabelais, Monday here guaranteed the betterment of conditions for the staff of the sector in northern Malange province, so that they increase the quality of work.

The Cabinet minister, who is in the region for a two-day trip, expressed this intention at the end of a visit to the premises of Angolan News Agency (Angop).

Manuel Rabelais also assured the creation of conditions for the installation of the State-run television (TPA) channel two and a powerful radio transmitter at Cacuso district, 72 kilometres off Malanje city.

On Monday, the minister also visited the provincial management of Mass Media, the facilities of the country's only daily paper Jornal de Angola, Public Television and the local station of the National Radio of Angola.

After his arrival in the region, Manuel Rabelais handed out computing equipment to Casa do Gaiato, and offered a vehicle and two motorbikes to TPA delegation. Today the Cabinet minister will travel to Kalandula district, 85 kilometres off northern Malanje city, where he will check some works in progress in the region.

The minister's delegation comprises high officials of the Mass Media Ministry, general directors and technicians of media organs, Aníbal de Melo Press Centre and Journalists Training Centre (Cefojor).
