Tunisian-Japanese cooperation at the Bordj Cedria technological pole was under focus on Tuesday during a workshop held at the Tunis Planetarium.

The workshop which was jointly organized by the Bordj Cedria technological pole and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), gathered a number of specialists in the sectors of energy, water, and biotechnology from Tunisia and Japan .

In his opening address, Mr Ridha Ben Mosbah, the Secretary of State in charge of scientific research and technology, stressed the importance of this initiative which aims at showcasing Bordj Cedria as a financial, technological and scientific cooperation model between the two countries.

On his part, the Japanese Ambassador in Tunis , Mr Shigeru Endo, expressed his satisfaction at the bilateral cooperation between both countries, especially in the field of renewable energies and the environment. He also called for reinforcing the exchange of experts, visits between both countries, as well as increasing training sessions destined to young reserachers.
