Luanda — Angolan Transports minister, Augusto Tomás da Silva, said Tuesday in Luanda that the National Company of Airport Exploration and Air Navigation (ENANA) will soon gain a tridimensional model of management, based on three sub-programmes, seeking to improve its services.
The minister was speaking to journalists after a five-hour visit to the Luanda Airport intended to learn about its functioning in the various sectors and the projects underway.
After meeting with the company's managing board and representatives of other institutions comprising the airport system, Tomás da Silva said the first sub-programme will be associated with the re-qualification of the Luanda International Airport.
The second sub-programme, the minister said, will focus on the amelioration of the company's management system, while the third is meant for ENANA's strategic revitalisation and organisational development.
According to Augusto Tomas da Silva, the problems identified in ENANA interact with those that persist in the Angola Airline (TAAG) and Flight and Passengers Assistance Company (Gassist), which require a joint approach with the involvement of the technical commissions of the organs of management of the companies associated with air transportation.
This measure, he added, is intended to lessen and settle the problems currently facing TAAG, Gassist and ENANA itself, with a view to helping the national airline to have the European ban on it lifted and resume its flights to that continent.
He announced that measures of immediate action will be implemented, particularly those having to do with air security and all non-compliances behind the European airspace ban on TAAG.
Augusto Tomás da Silva was appointed Transports minister on April 11 this year, in replacement of Andre Luis Brandão.
