THE church has warned government to tread cautiously on its proposal to eliminate religious studies on the school curriculum.

Speaking at a prayer breakfast marking the prayer day for United Bible Societies, the Archbishop of the church of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi said eliminating religious studies on the school curriculum might be disastrous to the nation.

"The leadership in our country needs to ensure that they reverse the proposal of eliminating religious studies on the school curriculum, because if they don't it will be terrible for our nation," Orombi said.
