Angola: Employment Minister Presides Over Seminar in Huambo

Huambo

The minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security, Pitra Neto, will preside on Thursday, in the central Huambo Province, over the opening of the provincial technical seminar on "compulsory social protection", which will last two days and will be held in the hall of the Higher Institute of Education Sciences (Isced).

Pitra Neto, who is expected to arrive on Thursday in that Province, will re-inaugurate in Huambo City the office of the provincial department of the National Institute for social security (INSS), totally rebuilt and equipped with modern means, as well as technical/professional training centres.

The technical workshop will discuss the Basic Law on Social Security, approved by the National Assembly in 2004, as well as its regulatory diplomas.

The juridical regime for clerical and religious entities protection, approved by the Cabinet Council on 30th April 2008, as well as self-employed workers' social protection, the contribution in compulsory social protection are some of the issues scheduled for the seminar.

In this course, participants coming from all sectors of the province's socio-economic life will also be informed about the plan of modernising and developing the National Institute for Social Security (INSS) and new procedures of the payment roll and payment guide.
