Angola: Head of State Receives Millennium Bank Chairperson

President José Eduardo dos Santos Wednesday in Luanda discussed during an audience with the chairperson of Millennium Bank managing board, Carlos Santos Ferreira, the partnership between Angola and that Portuguese financial group.

At the end of the meeting, the head of Millennium Bank, said that he had congratulated the Angolan Statesman, at a time that the conclusion of negotiations for the increase of shares of the country's National Fuels Society (Sonangol) in the Portuguese financial institution has begun.

He also stated that all the shareholders have unanimously voted for the strategic plans of the corporation that include the Angolan company intentions.

Carlos Santos Ferreira revealed that "Sonangol has 9.96 percent of the capital in Millennium-BCP", which makes it one of the biggest partners of the institution.

Created in 1985, in Portuguese city of Oporto, Millennium-BCP, is Portugal's largest private bank. Last year, it netted Euros 563,3 million.
