Angola: Higher Military Institute Opens Thursday

The Higher Technical Military Institute (ISTM), belonging to the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), situated in Luanda's Grafanil Military Camp, will be inaugurated on Thursday.

The ceremony, to be presided over by the chief of staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), general Francisco Pereira Furtado, will officially open the institution's 2008/2009 school year.

According to a military source who was talking to Angop, the totally repaired institution is inside of Grafanil's Military Camp barracks, and will lecture engineering and Biotechnology courses.

The engineering course comprises the specialities of mechanics, electronics, civil construction and computer sciences.

The biotechnology course will teach medicine, nursing and health.
