Cranes coach Laszlo Csaba got some relief yesterday when utility player Simeon Masaba was declared fit to face Tanzania's Kilimanjaro Stars on Saturday.

The teams clash in a return leg tie of the African Nations Championship, with the Tanzanians carrying a two goal advantage from the first leg in Mwanza.

Masaba suffered a hamstring injury while featuring for Villa in a league clash with Kampala City Council FC last Friday, but has shaken off the pain to declare himself available for the weekend fixture.

"He is fully recovered and fit to start the game. I am happy with the way he's responding in training," said Csaba. The Hungarian-born German said that he has no worries about the team's overall fitness and he is working on other key aspects of the game.

"I do not have any fitness worries as the players have been active with their respective clubs in the Super League. The focus is now on bonding and motivating the team as these will be the key things in the Saturday match," Csaba told Daily Monitor.

Uganda needs victory by a three-goal margin to advance to the next round of the competition which attracts locally based players.
