The Mozambican national director of culture, Domingos do Rosário Artur, Wednesday in Luanda considered Angola as a school for the other African Portuguese speaking countries.
Domingos do Rosario Artur justified his opinion with what he called the quality of the work and cultural development the country has been recording over the last few years.
Speaking to Angop at the end of a visit to Angola as part of the protocol of cooperation between the two countries, the official commended the progress noted, mainly in the domain of cultural and social infrastructures.
"It is deserving to salute Angola for the progress recorded after attaining peace, not only in the areas of arts and culture, but also for the socio-economic development, which made the country to set a great leap," he said.
He also expressed the wish to have the cooperation between the two countries reinforced, stressing that the great merit of Angola rests with the interconnection existing among the various sectors and in the strong will of its people to improve more and more one of the strongest points of the expansion of the Angolan culture.
The official who would not add details, said some common points for cooperation have been identified and will soon take a particular attention from the two governments.
He recalled that there is already a great cultural flow between the two countries with the outgoing and incoming of artists from both sides which, he added, can be reinforced to the benefit of the parties.
"We speak the same language, we are part of the same region in the continent and mainly, have a common history and culture.

"We must take all good points we have in the two countries and add something more that can reinforce, not only our role in the region, but also serve as a tie for the rest of the continent," he stated.
