Angola: Media Minister Ends Visit to Malanje

Malanje

The Angolan Mass Media minister, Manuel Rabelais, Wednesday ended his three-day working visit to northern Malanje province, where he assessed the current state of the sector.

During three days, Manuel Rabelais checked the rehabilitation works of the provincial station of the National Radio of Angola (RNA), as well as the provincial delegations of Angop and Public Television of Angola (TPA) that will benefit from repairing works.

The government official also visited Kalandula district where will be built two towers for the extension of RNA and TPA signal. There, he offered computers to the local municipal administration.

Afterwards, he met with the journalists of the region, where he announced the installation of TV and radio transmitters in Malanje city and in most developed districts of the province, as part of the government strategies to expand the signals.

During his trip to Cacuso district, Manuel Rabelais said that the conditions are created for the installation of TPA channel two and a powerful radio transmitter.

The Cabinet minister's delegation comprises top officials of Mass Media ministry, general and technical directors of public media organs, heads of Journalists Training Centre (Cefojor) and Aníbal de Melo Press Centre.
