RESIDENTS of Kakooge sub-county want to petition the speaker, Fred Segunjju, over alleged failure to implement programmes in the area.

In a document copied to The New vision, residents outlined several issues they wanted the sub-county to address.

These include the use of candles at the sub-county hospital, failure to lobby for town board status, lack of employment, failure to pass a by-law prohibiting the youth from playing cards on the streets and dismissal of casual labourers from the sub-county.

When The New vision contacted the sub-county chairperson, Ronald Bekalaze, about the allegations, he said the sub-county was negotiating with a developer, who promised to buy four street lights for the trading centre.

Bekalaze said since graduated tax was scrapped by the Government, the sub-county had been struggling to collect revenue.
