A former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Sunny Onuesoke, has called on Deltans to stop criticising the programmes and policies of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State-led administration as the current federal allocation to the state has been cut to size compared to the amounts received by former administration of Chief James Ibori.

Onuesoke made this call during the arrival of Chief Gani Fawhemi from his medical trip abroad at the Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, recently.

The PDP chieftain said, "Deltans should stop criticizing the Uduaghan led government because the allocation accruing to it from the federation account cannot be compared with that of Chief James Ibori but Uduaghan being a very diplomatic person have been able to manage the funds to the satisfaction of the majority in the state"

While enjoining Deltans to focus on Uduaghan's merit, he abreast them of the beautification projects in Warri, Effurun and Asaba, that have gone a long way in curbing robbery activities in the areas; road networks across the state, especially in Ughelli and his peace initiative programmes that have put a stop to youth restiveness in the state.

He added that criticisms are always welcome in a democratic setting but they should be constructive rather than spurning up the entire polity, which might lead to diverse malice among the political class and pressure groups in the state.

He advised political elders in the state to be involved with issues that would bring about peace and development to the state instead of the continuous criticism in spite of the familiarisation visit initiative by the state government to these persons.
