Chairman, Chuduak Limited ,Chief Edwin Igbokwe, Tuesday, condemned in strong terms what he described as the new dimension being introduced into the ongoing probe panel of the Akwa Ibom State Newspaper Corporation printing machine, saying "the allegations are obviously the handiwork of some schemers and probably stage-managed by those involved to achieve some dubious results."

In a statement issued in Lagos, Chief Igbokwe said the recent allegations being bandied around by the State House of Assembly Adhoc Committee members and published in the State government-owned newspaper last week are meant to prevent his company from testifying before the Committee.

"They are simply plotting to intimidate us so as to void our attending , properly , the probe panel now sitting in Uyo,"he said in the statement. "They have seen from all the evolving evidence that we are being vindicated." Chief Igbokwe maintained that it is important for Chuduak to be given a chance to make its representation before the panel, saying this would enable his company "demonstrate clearly the truth before the people of Akwa Ibom and Nigeria."

The Chuduak boss recalled: "We called for this probe in order to clear our names that were being damaged by some persons who perceived themselves as our enemies."

He however stated that in view of the new dimension to the probe, "we are now requesting for a neutral ground for our appearance," saying "potential danger is now very evident,"as according to him,"They are creating an atmosphere of fear to which I cannot in good sense expose my company."
