Rwanda National Olympic Committee (RNOC) has named three athletes to continue the search for more slots for the next Olympic Games scheduled for August 8-24 in Beijing, China.

The Chef de Mission for the Rwandan delegation going for the Beijing Games, Thierry Ntwali confirmed the trio as Félix Ntirenganya (full marathon), Angelline Nyiransabimana (5.000m & 10.000m) and Slyvain Rukundo (5.000m).

Ntwali said, "The three are the only athletes that will be facilitated as we seek to have more athletes attain the minimum qualifying standards for the Beijing Games."

"They will take part in European championships June and July but we are yet to identify the specific evens in which they will take part," he added.
