Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) men's volleyball team are hot favourites to walk away with the coveted league trophy in the National Volleyball League if their splendid performance in last weekend's league matches is anything to go by.

The Germans made short work of a depleted Golden Rivers outfit that lost the bulk of their playing personnel to their wealthy cross-town rivals at the beginning of the current league campaign.

Revivals' former players led by Mwita Sikopo, Rector Mbeha and Kamwi Sezuni have all crossed the floor and are now playing in the green and white colours of SKW.

The trio could not have wished for a better reunion with their former teammates, albeit from opposing sides, when the Germans opened their assault in this season's campaign with a confrontation against the weakened Golden Rivers side.

Revivals' management did not rest on their laurels and recruited a number of aspiring players who could hardly play the game, let alone know the basic rules of volleyball.

However, the rookies acquitted themselves well under trying circumstances and made the star-studded SKW outfit work overtime to overcome them - the Germans triumphed 3-luv.

The DTS Men and Women failed to honour their league matches in the respective divisions and forfeited points.

Here are the full results from last weekend's matches.
