Angola: Health Deputy Minister Learns About Kuchi District Sanitary Situation

Menongue

The Health deputy minister, José Van-Dúnem, who is since Wednesday in the south-eastern Kuando Kubango Province, will travel Thursday to Kuchi District, 94 kilometres from Menongue City, to assess the sanitary situation and services in the locality.

The official, who is to return Thursday to Luanda, will do a work on the sector's organisation and functioning in the region.

In Kuchi, the delegation will visit the local hospital being rebuilt, as well as learn of the difficulties and necessities in medical and medicine assistance, besides holding a meeting with members of the district´s administration.

José Van-Dúnem, who was received on Wednesday by the provincial governor, João Baptista Tchindandi, after his arrival visited infant/maternal and nursing centres, as well as held a meeting with Menongue City's central hospital staffs and local health department.
