Angola: Moxico - Over 200,000 Children Get Vaccine Against Polio

Luena — At least 228,211 children from zero to five years old will be immunised against polio in eastern Moxico province during the first phase of national vaccination campaigns scheduled for May 16-18.

According to the provincial director of Health, Ernesto Muangala, during the campaign will also be administered vitamins "A" and albendazol, to fight blindness and remove worms from children.

He guaranteed that for this campaign there have already been created 589 mobile and fixed brigades, comprising 2000 vaccinators from nine districts of the province. It will be a home to home campaign.
