Angola: Cabinda Beat Bié in Basketball 'Nationals'

Cabinda

The wheelchair basketball team of Cabinda province beat their counterparts of Bié by 35-15 in a semi-finals match of the national tournament of the category.

With this victory, the representatives of Cabinda qualified for Saturday's final against Lwini Fund, who beat Cidadela Complex this Thursday morning by 30-17.

The teams of Cidadela Complex and of Bie face off on Friday for the third and fourth positions.

Speaking to the press, the coach of Lwini Fund, Moniz Marques said that his team will train to beat Cabiinda, although they will play away. To him, his team intends to retain the title.

On his turn, the coach of Cabinda, Miguel Vemba referred that the first goal has already been achieved, which was to qualify for the final.
