There was a lot of excitement as Warid Telecom launched its network and opened a customer care centre in Lira last Saturday.

A mammoth crowd turned up Coronation Park, that is popularly known for hosting political rallies though, this time they hoped to get free entertainment and a chance to take home free Warid Telecom goodies like fully connected phones, T-shirts and caps.

People lined up at the newly opened Customer Care Centre on Masindi Road for fully connected phones probably to be able to benefit from the recently launched "Bang Kaboozi for free" promotion where Warid to Warid calls are only charged for the first two minutes and the rest is free up to two hours. The day was crowned by performances by Dj Languna, Lady peace and Pricilla Kalibala.
