Nigeria: Grassroots Coaches Applaud Zonal Coordinator

The grassroots coaches that participated at the maiden edition of Kaduna Metropolis Football competition have commended the good initiative of the zonal coordinator of the West Zone of National Sports Commission, Mr. Are Ademola.
In an interview with Leadership Sports, most of the grassroots coaches believed that this kind of championship will expose them in their coaching job. They also assured that the grassroots football will have good support from the state government.
Coach Habib of Elsuraj football club said, "We have to commend what this office has done to us, this is one of the competition that I never witnessed in Kaduna since I started coaching, I think the zonal coordinator deserves to be commended. With this type of championship, coaches like us, who have coaching certificates will have a good club to join, and also it will make our boys have the good experience of using standard pitches" Habib said.
Also, Coach Tigana of Gamji FC said that the officiating officials of the tournament have done well. He also commended the good conduct of the participants in the tournament for showing maturity at the venue of the championship. He called on the Kaduna state Sports ministry to give the office of the zonal coordinator all supports he may need for the development of sports, especially football in the state.
The coach of Celtic FC called on the organisers of the grassroots championship to improve on security next time they plan to organised such a tournament. "Everything about this championship is ok, security was a problem in all the venues of the matches was supporters, but the NSC of this zone did a wonderful job for us grassroots coaches and players. You know its from here that every player that makes a name started, and this is the first-rate place to sports" said Celtic coach.
The final of the one week championship comes up tomorrow (Saturday) at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium. Dignitaries expected to attend the finals are all the North West Zone Sports Commissioners and the national coaches. The DG, Dr Amos Adamu, is expected to be the guest of honor.
