Lagos — The development and survival of any society largely depends on the quality of human capital available to such society at any given time.

And the quality and availability of the human capital component of development in turn is clearly the function of the quality of education available in society. The quality and accessibility of education itself is dependent on the perception of the role of education and the priority of the government of the day in their policy making function. It is all too clear in today's world that developed nations are not those endowed with abundant natural resources. If it were to be so, our country, Nigeria must be one of such nations. Developed nations are those that have successfully domesticated their natural resources through technological advancement. So it is not about how much crude oil you can deliver but about what ingenious ideas you have on your head to make a difference. Knowledge and great ideas rule the world and this is why we must all be interested in the knowledge industry.
