Nigeria: Ipman Members Pay Homage to Uvwie Monarch

The leaders and members of the Warri Depot chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria on Wednesday paid homage to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Delta State, Emmanuel Sideso, Umogu Abe 1.
They were led by National Financial Secretary and Warri Depot chapter Chairman of IPMAN, Mr. Clement Obayendo and Chief Akpovire Edafevwotu, respectively.
The IPMAN members were accompanied on the trip by leaders of other labour unions in the oil industry, especially the Petroleum Tanker Drivers' Union , Independent Marketers Branch of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers.
The Chairman of PTD in Warri Depot Unit, Chief Mathias Ote, who is one of the new title chiefs in the kingdom, facilitated the visit.
The visit witnessed exchange of gifts between the monarch and the leaders of IPMAN.
Obayendo, who explained the mission of IPMAN at the palace, told the royal father that they were around to pay homage to him in the aftermath of his ascendancy to the revered throne of Uvwie kingdom. Obayendo said Edafevwotu authorised the visit in deference to the monarch and the people of Uvwie kingdom.

He said, "The IPMAN in Warri Depot under the leadership of Chief Akpvire Edafevwotu is here in the palace before you to celebrate and felicitate with you on your well deserved ascendancy to the throne of your forefathers. We are here to pledge our loyalty to the monarch and Uvwie kingdom and pray to God to give you the
wisdom of Solomon and endurance of Job to administer the kingdom."
The Ovie in his response thanked the IPMAN for the visit and assured the oil dealers that a peaceful atmosphere would be created.
