President of the Coalition of Civil Society and Human rights Activists (CCHRA) Wednesday said the said the current rising increase in the cost of commodities is totally global.

Charles Mambu added that the trend should not be attributed as failure of both past and present governments He condemned the continued politicizing of the current food crisis that has hit the country.

"The past government did what they could and the current government of President Koroma is making fantastic efforts to identify and implement a lasting solution to this crisis in Sierra Leone," Mambu said.

In a bid to avoid such political blame game, the coalition called on all Sierra Leoneans to emulate the good example of the people of Mozambique who united around their government and its partners to feed the nation.
