Sierra Leone: 'Can U Dance' Enters Crucial Round

The dancing project designed to market Sierra Leoneans, 'Can u Dance' will enter its second round elimination series on Sunday at the Buggy's Night club, Aberdeen, Freetown. Entrance fee to the gig is Le 3,000.
The event is packaged and sponsored by Sierra Leone's leading event management company Supreme Inc.
Director of Supreme Inc., Nicky Spencer-Coker Tuesday told Concord Times' Mid Week Entertainment that her company is an entertainment outfit and she has passion for dancing.
Spencer-Coker said a total of 29 dancers including group, male and female dancers have so far qualified for the phase two of the 'Can u Dance' project.
She said Alimamy Kamara is leading the male category with Abdul Rahman Fofanah in the second position while Sukarie Jamara is topping the female class and Aminata Bockarie is in the second place. In the group dancing stage, Stars of Star Zero are leading with Heavily Dancers trailing behind.
Spencer-Coker said even though these youngsters do not have professional trainers who could train them on how to dance but they were doing extremely well.
"We want to improve the country's dancing industry.
Such competitions will help to improve the talent of up and coming dancers." The prize money is Le 2 million for the group category while the male and female categories will win Le 1 million per category. 'Can u Dance' is annual programme, which stated last year and the momentum is growing everyday.
The following dancers have qualified for the next stage of the competition: Group: Stars from Star Zero, Heavenly Dancers, Kingdom Kids, Jay Z, Super Stars, MTV and Untouchable Boys.
Male: Alimamy Kamara, Wilfred Davies, Daniel Brown, Alhaji Dumbuya, Star Lamin, Bobson Vandi, Sheka Sesay, Gibrilla Bangura, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Rahman Fofanfah, Emmanuel Williams, Anthony Taylor, Unisa Kalakoh and Umarr Kargbo.

Female: Sukarie Jamara, Aminata Bockarie, Jennifer Wilson, Sia Fomba, Fatima Sesay, Fatamata Kamara, Kadi Conteh, Adama Mansaray and Claudia Smith.
