Hon. Okello Okello (Chua County) has said Acholi elders are disappointed with the failure of Joseph Kony, to sign the final text of a peace agreement with the government of Uganda.

Kony refused to sign the agreement brokered by the southern Sudan government in April.

Kony said he wanted clarification on the criminal charges, disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration of his fighters.

Hon. Okello Okello (Chua County) condemned elements encouraging Kony to turn his back on the peace deal that is intended to end the 22 year-old insurgency in northern Uganda.
