Luanda — The official launching of national vaccination campaign against polio that expects to immunize over six million children, was carried out on Friday at Samba district in Luanda by the deputy minister of Health, José Dias Van-Dúnem.
The three-day campaign has as target children from zero to five years old and involves 51,000 people at national level, including supervisors, campaigners and vaccinators.
During the campaign there will be administered vitamin "A" and Albendazol for worm cleansing.
The holding of this campaign is due to the outbreak of three new cases of polio in Luanda. The second phase of vaccination is scheduled for next June 22.
