Luanda — A lecture about "The role of Angola for stability in the African Continent" will be held on Thursday, in Luanda, by the Association of Friends and Natives of Angola (ANANG), in the ambit of the activities to commemorate the 25th of May, Africa's Day.
According to a document from ANANG which Angop checked this Wednesday, the activity will take place on the Magisterio Primario school, in Luanda, at 09:00 am and the lecturer will be the historian Júlio Mendes.
The association was formed on 17 November 2006 and according to its statutes it is turned to actions that contribute for the stabilization, rebuilding and socio-economic development of Angola, among other aims.
ANANG also focuses on promoting human values like liberty, equality, fraternity, as well as peace, justice and democracy in the country.
The organisation has members from varied social and educational background, such as university lecturers, journalists, writers, musicians and students.
