Da Poetic X is yet another young Gambian star making headways in the country's entertainment industry. The groups comprises three young singers namely, Ayo, Bilal and PMS. Following the released of three singles, Jambarr, Radio Mbeda and Wulajanjara, Da Poetic X stood tall for years as one of The Gambia's leading rap in recent times expressing words of righteous in the new hip-hop arena.

The Da Poetic X known for their hot stage appearance are still remain at the epicentre of The Gambian rap scene.

Such head line-worthy drama informed Da Poetic X which they delivered with both a masterful flow and a wise perspective over beats by big time Gambian producer the late MJ.

Since formation in 2000, the group still remains one of the most versatile rap group in the country's hip-hop block.

Few months after formation, BMG quits the group and Da Poetic X collaborated with Peppa House and setup a rap squad called "Da Bull Doff Army". Few months later Sensitive joined the squad then called the Big U, and also invited Bilal to join, who by that time was working with Yetteh J.

At the time, Bilal has already started making a name for himself in freestyle sessions. Both Sensitive and Big U quitted shortly after Bilal joined. By 2003, Da Bull Doff Army started its full time operation, thus preaching real hip-hop and started attacking rap-mbalah artistes, accusing them of misleading the kids with their pornographic lyrics. With all these hardship they managed to make Da Bull Doff Army to be known countrywide.

However, Bilal joined Da Poetic X in 2004, three years later, Da Poetic X splits from Da Bull Doff Army, because their main partners Peppa House was found guilty for breaking Da Bull Doff's rules.
