Kampala — ABORTION is disrespect to life and must be stopped, Archbishop John Baptist Odama of Gulu diocese, has said. He noted that many potential geniuses had been denied a chance to make the world a better place after being murdered by their mothers through abortion.

"If they had been allowed to live, by now they could have got the medicines for the diseases that have no cure a yet." God, Odama explained, created man in His image and nobody had the mandate to kill another.

"If we cannot hesitate to kill even children in wombs, what will stop us from killing grown-ups who annoy us?" he asked. The archbishop was last week speaking after wedding Dr. Richard Ayiasi and Alice Ochola in Moyo Catholic mission.

He also warned against divorce and domestic violence, citing excessive drinking as the major cause. Odama advised the couple to be exemplary to the Madi and Acholi by promoting love and unity.

"Richard is a Madi and Alice an Acholi. This is fantastic. You must protect your marriage."
