Tunis — Following her qualification 7-5, 6-2, against the Canadian Stephanie Dubois, ranked 160, by the Professional Tennis Association (PTA), Selima Sfar, Tunisia's only professional woman tennis player, ranked 241, will play against Venus Williams ( ranked 7 th ) on Tuesday afternoon at the 2008 edition of the Roland Garros tennis tournament in Paris.
Venus Williams who has already won Roland Garros in 2002, qualified for the second round after defeating Tzipora Obziler 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
It is the first time the Tunisian player qualifies for round two of the tournament.
Selima Sfar also plays in the event's women's double, with Argentina 's Maria Emilia Salerni. The Tunisian-Argentinean double will be opposed to the Romanians Edina Gallovits and Monica Niculescu.
