Liberia: Firestone to Honor Several Students

The Education Department of Firestone Liberia is expected to honor several students of the Firestone School System for their excellent academic performance during the course of the ongoing academic term.

According to the Supervisor of the Firestone School System, Mr. Charles G. Massaley, the program which has been scheduled for this Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Harbel Field Hall, will bring together 179 honorees from schools within the Firestone School System, representatives of Management, school authorities, teachers, parents, relatives and well wishers.

Among the honorees is Student Aaron Mineen of the Firestone Senior High School in Division 44 with a grade point average of 90 percent.

Mr. Massaley also disclosed that the students will be awarded certificates as a token of appreciation and encouragement from authorities of the Firestone School System and a mandate of the Education Department's ardent desire to ensure that students are propel to strive for academic excellence.

Firestone Liberia remains committed to playing a pivotal role in the educational advancement of the country.

The company currently owns and operates a school system that comprises 23 schools with over fifteen thousand (15,000) students enrolled at no cost; all of them children of Firestone employees.
