Sylvain Chauvet, the general manager of Corinthia Atlantic Hotel in Banjul, has been declared persona non-grata to leave the country within 72 hours, reliable sources revealed to the Daily Observer.

However, Daily Observer could not gather the reason surrounding this development. But when contacted to shed light on this development, Chief Superintendent Olimatou Jammeh Sonko, public relations officer of the Gambia Immigration Department, said this story was a news to her, adding that she is yet to be informed by her superiors.

The Daily Observer also made efforts to reach the Immigration director general for possible, but to no avail. However, when contacted a senior official confirmed the story.
