Luanda — The national soccer team of Benin will arrive this Saturday in the country to face on Sunday their Angolan counterparts, in a first round qualifier to the 2010 World Cup, in South Africa.
The encounter, first between both squads, is part of group 3, which also includes Niger and Uganda.
In the history of African football, Benin is little known, but in the ranking of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) occupies the 23rd position with 331 points and is in the 103rd place with 321st of the FIFA ranking.
Known as the "Squirrels", Benin's national soccer squad is trained by the German Reinhard Fabisch, who has the duty to qualify them to the African Cup of Nations (CAN2010), and to the World Cup, in the same year.
