Gombe State government has henceforth banned further serving of beans as meals for students in its post- primary institutions across the state with a stern warning to descend heavily on any school authority that contravenes the directive for whatever reason.
The directive remains in force till further notice, said the state commissioner for education, Hajiya A'isha Bose Ahmad, who also hinted that storage facilities are being put in place by government to store up enough beans during harvest season so as to guarantee safe consumption.
