The race is on to get Kenya's lead striker Dennis Oliech fit for the World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi, on Saturday.

Harambee Stars team doctor, Wycliffe Makanga, examined the Auxerre player's injury at Tuesday's evening team training session and said he will look at him again Wednesday before ruling on his match status.

Oliech picked up a thigh knock five days ago while playing against Namibia in Windhoek in a World Cup qualifier and had to be substituted.

Kenya lost the match 1-2.

"Oliech got a knock on his right quadriceps bruising the muscle tissues.

"We want to observe him in training before making any conclusions on whether he will play on Saturday," Makanga said.

Oliech was one of the bright sparks in the Kenya attack and was unlucky not to score at the Windhoek Independence Stadium.

In another development, the International Match Organising Committee have announced that advance tickets for the Kenya/Guinea tie will go on sale tomorrow at the match venue at Nyayo National Stadium. Centre stand tickets will sell for Sh300 and terraces for Sh100.

Sam Obingo, who is co-ordinating the match arrangements, said all modalities had been put in place to ensure the fixture meets all the minimum Fifa requirements.

"We have contracted a firm to print secure tickets that cannot be faked or tampered with. We want a situation where only the permitted maximum number of spectators that Nyayo Stadium can hold will be let in."
