Angola: Agriculture Official Satisfied With Cotton Watering Project

Luanda — Angola's deputy minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dario Katata, on Tuesday in Sumbe City expressed his satisfaction at the execution level of cotton irrigation project in Gangula commune, in the central Kwanza-Sul Province, ANGOP has learnt.

Dario Katata said the project is on the right track taking into account the work already done on the spot, for the irrigation of 3,000 hectares of land, as from March 2009 and worth at least 40 million US dollars.

"If the works take the same rhythm and performance, the project will be concluded in the scheduled term", said Dario Katata.

The project is to provide jobs for more than 3,000 families.
