Kenya: Suspend Levies On Oil, Says Audit Firm

Nairobi — Audit firm, Deloitte, has asked the government to suspend levies imposed on petroleum products to make oil affordable. It said that this would save businesses from collapse.

Due to the unprecedented increase in international and local pump prices of the precious commodity, there have been calls from several quarters to the government to introduce price controls or give tax concessions.
