KENNETH Kamyuka will lead out East Africa against England at Lugogo at the same time Raymond Otim fronts UCA XI to face Pakistan when the much anticipated NCR Twenty20 tournament rolls off today.
Kamyuka and Otim are two of the 18 Uganda national team cricketers that have been distributed in groups of three to all the six teams slated to take part in what the organisers hope is the first of an annual Twenty20 event.
Chief organiser Sanjiv Patel said earlier that the Uganda Cricket Association and Friends of Uganda Cricket - the other force behind the event - had plans to organise the event every year although he added there were a few modalities to sort out.
One of them would be to guarantee the corporate sponsorship that has flooded the event. Apart from major sponsors NCR, UKI Industries is sponsoring the East African team, Sadolin Paints England, Highland Water UCA XI, MTN South Africa, and Warid both Indian and Pakistan.
All group games will be played in 15 overs with only tomorrow's final contested in the 20 overs format.
