Lagos — Director general of National Agency for Foods and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC), Mrs. Dora Akunyili, has enjoined stockbrokers to patronise the shares of an indigenous pharmaceutical company, Fidson Healthcare Plc as investors are assured of great returns as their investment in the company.

She said the company, which has been in existence for 13 years, would surpass other competitors in the same sector owing to the integrity of its management board and the standard employed in its operations.

Making these remarks during the listing of the company's 1.5 billion ordinary shares on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Akunyili said the company has not contravened any provisions of regulations guiding operations in the pharmaceutical industry.

It would be recalled that Fidson shares were listed by way of introduction at a unit cost of N7.50 and had about 10 million units sold to investors on the floors of the Exchange.
