Kigali — Jean-Luc Ndayikengurukiye (Pictured above) has warned his players to reserve their 'tournoi international des Disparus' celebrations for later.

The APR coach and ex-APR and national team captain made the call ahead of the second round of the national volleyball championship which gets underway this Saturday.

APR, who comfortably lifted last year's title are still the main contenders this year after topping the league charts in the firstround of the championship.

The reigning champions are 45 points clear at the top of the table after claiming three of the four phases but Ndayikengurukiye is not taking anything for granted.

"We played well and won at the weekend but we still have a long journey ahead of us. We have to stay focused and keep winning," the 32-year-old emphasized.

On Sunday, APR made light work of their foes 'Kigali Volleyball Club' with a straight sets thrashing to retained the Tournoi International des Disparus title. It was their third consecutive title.

Following the heroics, the club also bagged a cash prize of $1000 courtesy of Caisse Sociale du Rwanda (CSR) and the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB).

KVC who won the fourth and final phase of the first half will be APR's main threat in the second round.

The Rafiki club toppled APR after a thrilling 3-2 set victory to send a strong warning to the reigning champions.
