Nigeria: Malaria Eradication - Pharmacist Pledges Collaboration With KWSG

Ilorin — An Ilorin based pharmaceutical company, Elebe Pharmaceutical Nigeria Limited has pledged to collaborate with the Kwara State government in its bid to eradicate malaria.

The director of the company Mr. Oduche, who said research had shown that 75 percent of patients who attend the nation's hospitals were as a result of malaria infection, commended Governor Bukola Saraki's policy on health and assured that the company would corporate with the government to make its health policy a success.

He congratulated Governor Bukola on his one-year anniversary of his second term and urged him to continue to make matters of health a priority.

Responding, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ayinke Saka, commended the good gesture and pledged the government's readiness to collaborate with the company in the bid to minimise malaria in the state.
