Women in Da'awah, a Muslim women group are billed to organise a conference on June 26-29 at the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja.

This was disclosed yesterday by the financial secretary of the organization, Hajiya Rahma Idris Musa during a visit by the group to Media Trust office at Abuja.

She said the group's main objective is to propagate the teaching of Islam through organized conferences, seminars and lectures, adding that the aim is to seek for the unity of Muslim women.

Hajiya Rahma revealed further that the conference would re-orient and refocus women involved in Da'awah activities in such a way that they will be able to meet challenges.

"The theme of this year's conference is "The best among people is he who is most beneficial to others," she added.

In another development, Christians have been enjoined to dedicate their work and time to the selfless service of God.

This was disclosed on Sunday by the Parish Priest of SS Peters and Paul's Church, Nyanya, Rev. Fr. Micheal Gokum while delivering a sermon titled harvesting for the lord.

He advised Christian parents to encourage their children or members of their families to go into priesthood.

"As human beings we may not have much money to donate but we can give our time and words of encouragement or comfort and affirm those who are experiencing pains and rejection," he said.

He said whatever gifts we have or whatever positions we occupy in life has been given to us by God to be used for the services of others.
