Luanda — The chief of Guinea Bissau's General Army Staff, lieutenant general Baptista Tagme, left Luanda this afternoon for central Huambo province, where he will hold talks with this region's military officials.
The West African nation's official is in the country since Saturday for a five-day visit, in the light of the strengthening of cooperation between the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and Guinea-Bissau Armed Forces.
On Monday, delegations headed by the chief of staff of FAA, general Francisco Furtado and his counterpart, Baptista Tagme, discussed issues related to the training of Guinea Bissau's military personnel in Angola.
Other issue analysed between the two sides was the assistance of military and technical means of Guinea Bissau by Angolan experts.
