The Minister of Interior, Major General Godwin Abbe (rtd), has inaugurated a business advisory committee to advise him on the award of expatriate quota to companies operating in Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement made available to Daily Trust yesterday and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Minister, Mr Tope Ajakaiye.
Inaugurating the committee, Major General Godwin Abbe charged them to be fair in dealing with all matters that involve expatriate quota issue, adding that "Nigeria is currently in a crucial stage in her developmental process and every step taken must be deliberate and calculated to avoid unnecessary mistakes."
General Abbe said Nigeria requires adequate inflow of foreign investments that will aid our developmental efforts which will help to effectively implement President Yar'adua's seven point agenda and get the desired goal by the year 2020.
The chairman of the committee who is the Permanent Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Mr Japh Nwosu, assured the minister that they will carry out their duties diligently without fear or favour.
