Gambia: President's Infertility Treatment Successful

At least 60 people who have undergone President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh's Infertility Treatment Programme have conceived, according to their HCG and abdominal ultra-sound reports.

In an interview with the Daily Observer, the director deneral of the Presidential Medical Team, Dr Tamsir Mbowe, said it is difficult to know the total number of patients who have conceived, as there are cultural beliefs attached to pregnancy. Dr Mbowe added that although most people tend to conceal their pregnancy, the remarkable thing about the infertility treatment is that the Gambian leader has the ability to come up with herbs that have the potency to enhance pregnancy.

"From our records, we have seen infertile women with a history of infertility ranging from 5 to 18 years long. These people have spent thousands of Dalasi and had gone through complex scientific procedures and yet, they failure to conceive."

Dr Mbowe added that any medical procedure - be it traditional, conventional or modern - its primary aim is to restore the sick to health.

He called on all those who have conceived as a result of the President's Infertility Treatment to report to his office for further consultations.
