Four Rugby Cranes stars who featured in the 27-10 triumph over Botswana on Saturday have joined the national 7s side that departs by bus today for the Kenya Safari 7s in Nairobi this weekend.
Captain Moses Soita who was man-of-the-match in the 27-10 win over Botswana will travel alongside 15s stars Edmond Tumusiime, Anthony Kinene and Joel Anguyo.
Team Manager Brain Tabaruka told Daily Monitor that these will act as catalysts to the rest of the squad. The 7s side has been training for the past two weeks in preparation for the world famous Safari 7s.
"It's going to be a tough tourney but we will put on a good show," Tabaruka said of the team whose best showing was winning the Plate Final last year.
Others on the 12-man team are John Paul Ssemakula, Ronnie Musoke, Paul Kabazzi, Brain Jjemba, Brain Kikaawa, Bishop Onen, Benon Kiiza and Charles Chandia.
The national 15s side won the Africa Cup after defeating hosts Madagascar in last year's final.
